SEF - Search Engine Friendly pages, this converts those long URL's addresses to readable ones. Joomla has a selection that is built in to convert these, there are also extensions for this.

Title Tag - This is what is also important to SEO, it is the information in the top of the browser bar. Joomla also has built in capabilities for controlling this.

External Links - Another important one for SEO/SEM. This is networking links from outside sources linking to your website. The better the SERP of a link the better the link. Links from related content also carry more weight.

Internal Links - Linking internally to content or pages will also help your users and SEO.

Referral Traffic - Having links from other websites or other internet locations to your website. They can be natural (free) or paid links.

Sitemap - Shows normal menu structure of your website, can also have Google Sitemap conforming XML list.

Robot Text - (robot.txt) Text file that tells a spider what it can list and what is private.

Metadata - Can consist of your websites keywords, key-phrases, description, robot and generator.

AltTags - Information usedto describe an image or element, can be used for SEO to place keywoods of the object as they relate to the website, page or content

Keywords - The words used that reflect the purpose of the business, project, website, page and content. Simply good content (copy) that has good use of keywords, will not only be good for the users, but for the SEO.

Key-Phrases - The phrases used that reflect the purpose of the business, project, website, page and content. Simply good content (copy) that has good use of keywords, will not only be good for the users, but for the SEO.
